Yes, the owners are evil , but you should still purchase a membership . Think of all the stuff you take from this site over the course of a year, definitely worth the minimal fee IMO that helps to support the site.

 

Plus you get a neat membership card in the mail (new one every year?).

 

Even after over 5 years it is still woth the $$'s. Lots of good info that you cannot get anywhere else.
