Default Should I Retire?

A month ago the DMV sent me a letter stating that their information did not match Social Security's, and I had to appear with my Birth Certificate if I wanted my license renewed. When I showed up, they said that their Date of Birth matched my Birth Certificate and I needed to contact Social Security to get it straightened out.

Today I received a Social Security Statement. Looking through it I noticed that they show my date of birth as 1919. Which is about 50 years off. But they list my monthly benefit at age 82 as over $1500 a month, and I qualify for Medicare. It is tempting to take them up on it.
