Should I sell it?

I was thinking of selling or trading in my 4Runner on a 97 Passport that I really like...

What is your take on these? Even though they are made by Isuzu, what is your opinion of them?

I'm not sure whether you meant 4runner AND passport, 4runner OR passport or 4Runner FOR a passport What are you trading in or selling in for? A S2k?

I would definately not recommend the passport. It's a terrible SUV. Like you said it's not a Honda meaning it doesn't offer Honda type reliability. They didn't fair well in offset crash tests and doesn't handle that well.

4runner is a great truck and good to have around if you use it. I definately would not trade the 4runner for a passport.

Greg, the Passport it just an Isuzu with a Honda badge, I'm not a real fan of them. The Toyota has better resale and is an all around better truck, stick with that line, just my 2 cents.

Yea, that's what I am not crazy about it...the fact it's not a real Honda. I will probably just get a newer 4Runner...

But I saw a very nice dark green Passport yesterday. Looked sweet...

We'll see, but I'll probably stick with another 4Runner.

Thanks

Greg:

I'd either keep the Toyota or wait until Honda gets their version of the MDX soon.

Greg, don't get the Passport. I had a New 96 Passport very weak engine. When you hit a bump the panels feel like they are going to fall off. Everything rattles in that SUV, it is crap.

My recommendation would be to pick up an Audi wagon with AWD or get a new WRX wagon.

Most of the room of a truck and AWD.

Greg, no need to make the choice now. Summer is coming, no need for the SUV until next winter. Scarlet II rules 'til then.

Greg,

i had a '91 isuzu (bless you)rodeo and a '90 Isuzu (bless you) 4x4 Pickup.... both were fine. I bought both used, so got pretty decent resale too (i made money on the rodeo)

Both were pretty tough. I actually take 4x4's off road, unlike most people. I hit a mud hole hard enough to make
the mud come up through the shift boot... but it still
ran fine!

The rodeo's def. look cooler (muscular) than the other choices.

you can get an extended warranty on used cars through almost any credit union if you have doubts about mechanical ability
