Do your opinions on this subject change if a member of your team is openly gay?

(I'm not trying to start anything, I'm actually curious)

So you don't mind doing it, or you just don't think about it while you're doing it, or you don't remotely enjoy doing it?

I can do just about anything that I have to but that doesn't mean I enjoy it or am even neutral toward it.

Given the choice, I'll take a private shower every time.
I rate it on the same level as eating solo at a busy rest stop on the highway. There may be plenty of people around, but you're essentially by yourself.

Most people who have an issue with showering around other people in gym/sports situations are simply self conscious. Anyone who uses another reason is lying.
I disagree. Ever notice how many "weird" dudes there are at fitness clubs? There's always a couple odd ones hanging around the locker room too long, or walking around butt-a$$ naked for no apparent reason. I'm not even saying they're homosexual... they're just f***in weird... and I don't want some dude scammin my squirrell... but if you're comfortable with it, more power to you.

Self conscious people feel akward showering with other guys. Its that simple.

They're worried people give a rip about how fat they are, that pimple on their ass, small dick, whatever. Im in the locker room to do one thing: Get ready. Get ready to work out, get ready for work or get ready to go home depending on the time of day.

You can cover it with any reason you choose, but if you're THAT uncomfortable, then you were THAT guy in high school and probably havn't been in the situation since. The guy that trys to cover the funk with a shitload of deodorant, or take a "bird bath" in the sink, whatever... you're the guy with the queer issue. The funny thing is in all this is no one (post 9th grade) that actually took a shower was getting ****ed with, it was always the pussy hiding in the corner.

I'm in the military. I've always played sports. I know there is a general uneasiness at first, but after a while it just doesn't matter. Stop being self conscious, let it go. You're not the only guy thats ever been uneasy in a locker room and you won't be the last, but to the guy that said Stink>Showering with guys... Jesus... maybe ya'll really do have something to hide?

well at a recent baseball game I was peeing in the urinal. dude comes next to me, (I have great peripheral vision) good enough to see him look to his left at me then look down. I doubt he was a doctor checking the color of my urine for health reasons. needles to say he felt rather embarrassed, ashamed or intimidated because he left in a hurry. I'm a well endowed man I have nothing to hide, send your girl over here if you want proof because I dont mind showing him off just not to guys.

p.s. I doubt I'll ever pee in a urinal without the spacers in between them again.

Thats obviously creepy, but honestly, is it going to discourage you from showering in a locker room? Not smelling like pigpen>creepy random pisser guy. Sucks, but having soccer mom T bone me once upon a time isn't going to stop me from driving...
