sick of high gas prices?
Yep, there's no way this'll work. All it would do is cause Exxon/Chevron/Mobil to lose a very small and completely insignificant bit of profit.
Like it or not, barring any major lifestyle changes, we all need gas, and are pretty much at the mercy of the suppliers. Also, it's not true that buyers control the marketplace. What determines prices in the market are supply and demand. Unless you reduce overall demand, gas prices as a whole aren't going to change. You'd only be moving profits around from one supplier to another.

Heres my idea.... drop Cali into the Pacific Ocean! We then woud have gas prices down below .99 again and all would be good!!!
