Default Silicone and Saline Implants

I just wanted to know if there is anyone on this board who has a friend, mother, sister, daughter etc who has had silicone implants in their lifetime and has an experience, good or bad, they would like to share. PM me if you dont feel comfortable sharing on this thread.

If there are any plastic surgeons here, or perhaps someone tied to a clinic, manufacturer or drs office that deals with breast augmentation, Id like to hear from you as well.

Thanks!!!

My mother had silicone implants put in around 1982. She has numerous problems and has undergone treatment. Silicone should never have been used. The movie Boob Men was based on a true story of why they were used. All about the money.

Is this for you? You are attractive enough without them.

If you can't find much information from oither people's experiences/opinions, you should check out www.webmd.com. They also have a messageboard.

Thanks guys, compliments much appreciated.

I was interested and went to see a well known doctor who highly recommended silicone.

I have done research and to date I believe there is no evidence that silicone leaked into the body causes connective tissue diseases, but if one decided to choose to have an augmentation and they end up leaking, wouldnt you rather have saline in your body thatn silicone?

Silicone was taken off the market because there were leaks. Silicone is supposed to feel more real. The Silicone implants have been changed to make them safer. You could look at webmd maybe to find how they have changed.

There are so many options like Si /vs NS and placement method to leave the least scarring. Do alot of research before having anything put into your body.

Well these days in the US silicone is only offered to ppl who meet certain requirements (cancer patients for example). They can have these only if they join the study the FDA is coordinating. Currently the silicone they are using is the same silicone implant yanked off the shelf in the early 90s.

There is a new silicone implant being developed using cohesive gel. However it is not available in the US yet for this study.

I have done the research but I really want to hear from anyone out there who has experienced this firsthand.

Thanks

I touched some once in a hottub. They were floaty and felt nice, but I was kind of drunk so who knows.

This is rateds2k,s wife, I thought I would say a few things
one of the main problems with saline is that they are hard to the touch. They tend not to fall to a more natual look. As well as after a period of time the bag will ripple. You will be able to see the rippling not only when you are nude but through clothes as well.
This is not a one time procedure but will have to be done several times in your life. I know many girls that have there breast done and most have them are redone every 5 years .

Silicone is a better choice for looks but depending on who you talk to they aren't healthy if leaks occur. If you are to do silicone I would suggest you get them checked bi-yearly for leaks.

Final suggestion is to go to a stripclub and find someone who you like the look of their breasts and talk to their doctor.
