Check this out. I got sick of using 15 Mb of resources just to have ICQ running all the time so have switched to this version and it seems to be just fine. It even imports all your current ICQ contacts for you.

Rylan turned me onto http://www.trillian.cc - great app! it does a much better job than odigo in joining AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and even IRC clients all in one. Very slick. Takes some getting used to, but transition was quite qiuck for me - I think you'll dig, and btw, less resources!

trillian kicks ass! unfortunately is missing a couple things i like, i.e. rearranging my contact list and multibyte character support.

but trillian is definately VERY MUCH on the right track and if it weren't missing those two things then i'd jump on it like an addict on a dime bag.

I esp like the auto correcting features - I don't have to see "adn" appear on my screen anymore from my typing blunders!

regarding arranging contacts - in what way? turning off the offline folder view will allow you to group people around: s2000, friends, coworkers, etc. or do you want 'order'?
