Hi all,

I need some help I recently move to New York from California. My DMV registration forms came and it said I needed to SMOG my car. The car I have is still registered in California, I never switched because I know I'm going to move back in a year or so. So the question is how do I get the car SMOG check in New York? I don't see any stations... Thanks in advance!

 

where are you in new york? i live on long island and almost every gas station has smog test stations for registration.

 

I believe (check with CA DMV to be sure) that you can get an exemption from CA smog if you can show that the car will not be operated in California.
