We call this a "French Farmer" .....

I only ever do it when I am playing sport ..... you don't have a lot of choice while you are on a football pitch or something like that .....

I should add that I've never blown a SR in public, partially for fear of a misfire. The idea of spending the rest of the day with badly-aimed snot rocket all over my shirt pretty much keeps me in check.

Only when doing intense bicycle rides while in the company of equally gross and snot tolerant fellow riders/racers. And always off to the side and away from people after the issuance of a warning. Ya gotta breathe to climb.

 

Fair enough, but in many parts of Africa and Asia they have good reason not to touch others -- they clean their asses with their bare hands and more often than not have no soap in the bathroom.
