Snowboarding in Whistler
Howdy,
I'll be heading up to Whistler, BC for a 3-day snowboarding trip at the end of February. I've never been to Whistler. Can anyone who has been there offer any lodging recommendations? Either a region or a specific property would be good. Any advice appreciated. There are 8 people in my group, so condos are great too. We'll be driving there from Seattle if it matters. Thanks!

Whistler is amazing. You won't be disappointed. Hit up Blackcomb first if you're a boarder. Wicked trails.

maybe post in the BC (British Columbia) forum and you will get better answers!
I'm an idiot for not realizing that. Will do, and thanks!
If you look at the header image on the website. You'll see two mountains. The whole resort is called WhistlerBlackcomb. The mountain on the left in Blackcomb. The one on the right is called Whistler. People have just shortened the name and it's known as Whistler.
I find that Blackcomb is better for snowboarding because of the steeper trails. Whistler is a little flatter so good for cross country or beginning boarders. The Olympic run on Whistler is great. Don't get stuck in backcountry trails. Learned my lesson many times with that one.
Whistler itself isn't that big. The whole resort is walkable. Try to get a hotel that is right at the base of the mountain.

All my friends that have been to Whistler say that it's simply awesome. I myself haven't gotten the chance yet. Oh well, another 8ft this weekend in Tahoe on top of the 8ft last week will have to do
