That's amazing...I'm usually a pretty chill live and let live type of guy, but I hope those people get the living shit beat out of them in prison. By motorcyclists.

Is this the same story, where the dirt-bike rider kept breaking onto private property to ride and pissing off the neighbors? Or a separate incident?

That had to be about the worst article written ever.

If it was related, as suggested by the article (dispute about a private road) I would have to say that the neighbors got fed up with the motorcyclists breaking onto the property and riding around--disturbing the peace and endangering the lives of the neighbors. They finally took some action and booby trapped them.

It was the wrong action to take. Someone got seriously hurt, but I would have to think that was the reasoning behind their crime. I don't think these people would do it just for fun.

I might be wrong, 4runner, but it sounds to me like you're pulling your punches here. Are you saying that although the "wrong" reaction was decided upon by the trio they have an excuse in that it's their property?

It was hard to tell much of the story from the article. I'm glad they caught the people who did that. I can't imagine getting 500 stitches in my face. Total bummer.

Several years ago, there was a kid in my area killed by someone (cops never found out who) that decided to string barbed wire across the trail. Kid was killed instantly . Sometimes it's extremely saddening to hear what humans actually do to each other.
