So sad...
It has nothing to do with you caring if she died or not, it has to do with the fact you made a pedobear reference in a thread about a dead 6 year old
Pedobear is old news and really isn't funny anymore...

i didn't read the article and won't get sappy from a story on the interweb. maybe a sappy story would be more welcome in the vintage owners forum?Touching story.... cruel bittersweetness though.

wholeheartedly.the fact that anyone would get some sort of entertainment by references to a symbol for pedophilia is just disgusting.
if you want to laugh at death, go for it, i could care less. but yeah, people that enjoy pedobear are screwed up in the head. sorry
Maybe I missed something, but who made a Pedobear joke? I see where it was suggested that a joke be inserted, but I took it more at a jab at the bastards in the OT forum rather than an actual call for a Pedobear joke. Of course, to come to that conclusion would require brain power...
Everyone wants to get butthurt and act like somebody said something wrong. I just don't get it...

i agree with the first comment. my first thought was how'd the parents not find the notes did they not clean the house for 255 days? i mean understanably they would be preoccupied with treatments and all that for the child but how do you not clean up enough to find those notes.
edit: i realize i sounded really cold, let me say that this is a really sad story.

Apparently proceeds of from the book go to charity - one that the parents started. There are subcommittees, but the Board of Directors has three (!) members: two are the parents and the third is clearly another family member. The charity's website, makes a vague reference to 'fighting for the cure' but nowhere could I find how they plan to do that other than administering grants. I couldn't even locate an actual mission statement. It's not at all clear how they are accountable to their donors, but the site is laden with emotional pleas. I'm trying not to be pessimistic about this. Really, I'm not. But at the very least, this is a poorly administered charity.
it looked to me like a joke was made, only without the time spent to make a specific one. don't get me wrong, i'm not personally hurt or offended. i just think it's disgusting that people are entertained by the character, that's all.
