Cool So we are having a bit of a cold snap.....

So we've had a cold snap that is considered to be a good one down here. We're at about 35-40*F in the morning and for us, it's freaking cold. But none-the-less there isn't a named storm overhead so the top is down. So I go for a ride this morning and it is so funny how everyone is pointing and staring. I get to the post office and get out and the guy next to me says....

Him: Man that sucks..
Me: What sucks?
Him: Your top broke..
Me: What are you talking about?
Him: Well it's down and it's freezing outside, so it must be broken right?
Me: Nope, sorry man this top is always down...I didn't drop a good amount of cash on a convertible to ride with it up
Him: dumb blank stare....walks away

It's all relative. When I moved back to Alabama from Hawaii, 50 had me shivering. Now 50 is a debate between shorts and jeans.

Definitely relative.

This is my first time living outside of NY. Even though DC is only a few hours south of NYC, the people here in DC freak out at the slightest bit of rain...the news stations go on and on about freezing rain this and black ice that...it snowed just a little bit this year and traffic slowed to a stop, it was ridiculous.

To the OP, I'd have my top down in 30 degree temps too if I had a glass window...alas, my hazy plastic window will crack if I fold her up in cold temps, so no choice for me, top up with below 50.

30 is WAAAY too cold for Texas, but I still had the top down. During rain or cold, you get more stares

I would take that any day. It is like -15 degrees here in Chicago if you count the wind chill factor. Yes, you read that right, it's negative.

It's a freezing 85F here in Los Angeles, maybe I should turn the AC down in the office.
