Default So who's next?

I personally think that a woman will be the next presidential 1st, but what minority group do you guys feel will/should be next in line for a shot at running the country?

Well a Hispanic ran for Gov. of California, and he lost even with the large Latino & Hispanic population, and he was the Democrat candidate in a blue state, but still lost to a republican

Fantastic! Will you tell me more? Do you have the time?

Who was the candidate running against, The Govenator? You know that's only 1 of 50 states, right?

Yup it was Arnold
And yes that's only one state, but that was kinda my point. If a Latino can't win at the state level in a state with such a large Hispanic population, then how can one win on a national level

Because Cali might as well be a seperate entity from the rest of the continental U.S. with its beliefs, laws, way of life, etc. Only in California and Minnesota can a "rockstar" get elected govenor. I think the sun and snow are getting to their respective citizen's brains.

Anyway, since we've already ruled out black I think that naturally a hispanic will be next simply due to numbers. Much like black was more likely to occur before hispanic or Asian.

Having said that, I agree we'll see a woman become PUSA before another minority other than black.

We're not discussing time frame, just next minority.
