A Christian and an atheist were arguing about miracles. The Christian asked, "If I jumped off a 100-foot cliff and just before I hit the ground I suddenly slowed down and landed softly, wouldn't that be a miracle?"

The atheist replied, "Certainly not! That could be explained easily by a sudden upflow of wind, like windshear in reverse. But a miracle? No."

The Christian persisted. "What if I jumped a second time, and again landed softly. Surely it would be a miracle if it happened twice."

Again the atheist shook his head. "I'll admit that it would be amazingly unlikely, but the same natural phenomenon could happen a second time. That's just not a miracle."

Undaunted, the Christian continued. What if I did it a third time, a fourth time, a fifth, a sixth, a seventh? Certainly a safe landing seven times in a row qualifies as a miracle!"

The atheist sighed. "After seven times it's not a miracle, it's a habit."

(By the way, Charlie, I do believe in miracles. My best to your wife!)

Congratulations!!!!! This is truly a miracle.
When I was reading the beginning of the original thread, all I felt was a tingling in my spine, but as I read through it, I got a nice warm feeling in my stomach. Congrats again.

Charlie,

It's great to see that your wife pulled through and is well on her way to recovery. Good luck to both of you in the future.
