Default Software for planning sporting event "pools"?

Anyone know of any good software for running some "for fun" () sports pools? I want the software to be generic enough that I can input data from any "ladder" based event. (i.e., I have a tournament draw sheet, and I want to create a "for fun" betting pool).

Even something put together as an MS Excel spreadsheet would be great ...

THe only stuff I seem to find is geared toward NCAA basketball, with the bracket structure pre-defined and not modify-able.

Anyone have any ideas?
