On the way back from Lake Havasu I was driving through Mt. Shasta at about 85mph as I'm approaching the base of the mountain, here comes a CHP squad car heading towards me. I look back into the rear view as I blur past him and I notice he immediately flips a U-turn and proceeds to get behind me to pace. I knew I was caught but shaved off 5mph and dropped it to 80mph (65mph Zone). The CHP officer paced behind me a few miles and then switched to the right hand lane to pass me so I thought?! Now with the squad car directly next to me he looks down at his instrument cluster to signal that I was going fast and I didn't let off yet. ltweintz (Luke) rolled down the passenger window and the officer then came over the P.A. and barked "Slow that thing down now if you don't want a ticket!!". I immediately canceled the cruise and set it at 70mph! I have to say that was one cool CHiP!

Hey i never said that move was smart but, i figured i was already nailed @ 85mph so F**k it!!

 

The funny thing was that Brian didn't even pay any attention to the cop when he was beside us. I was like...uh....dude he's pacing you....you might want to slow down and thats when he came on the speaker. After that you still only dropped to 70 and it was a 65. Crazy Focker!!!

BTW - Brian....you left the "NOW!" off the end of that sentance.

You are one lucky guy. Probably let you off since he wanted to cehck out the car in action.

 

That and we were pretty close to the border....he probably just wanted us out of his state.
