Here is what really happened:
Two very hungry customers walked into the seafood restaurant and saw that delicious 20 pound lobster sitting in the tank. They immediately began devising plans to eat that lobster. After an initial failed attempt to buy the priceless lobster, they later returned disguised as disgruntled PITA activists and demanded to set the lobster free. Instead of delivering the lobster to his new home in the Atlantic Ocean, they decided to first give him a bath... in boiling water, where he died of natural causes, of course. George was then doused in meted butter and fulfilled his purpose as a lobster; that is, to be EATEN BY HUMAN BEINGS!
