Someone with Lipoly Battery Experience.
I was gonna post it up in the gadgets section but it is not that busy and there is probably a better chance to get someone who knows what they are talking about here.
I had a 11.1v 4000mAh 15C Li-poly battery that was purchased for my airsoft gun. I bought it from an airsoft store so I know it was intended for it. Well today I went to use it after not using it for awhile and it had a damaged cell.
So here is what I want to know. I found a Lipo battery on eBay and matched every specification that I was able to with my old battery. But I was wondering since the one I bought on eBay is not exactly intended for airsoft will it work or is there anything else I should know?
Here is a link to my original battery

All I can suggest is that the new battery might not be "packaged" in such a way that was designed for running around, jumping, rolling, etc. Then again, it might be the exact same battery.
In my opinion, there's nothing you need to worry about if it's got the same components with the same specs

There's a store local to me (so you may have one) that will repair batteries like that. They replace bad cells, build entire new batteries to your spec., etc. I'd look for a store like that. I had a nimh battery for a 4-Channel remote that these guys did up for me.

i used to use lipo's all the time for my rc cars and such and only once had one explode, it was pretty cool. Not that big of a deal though, just shot fire for a little bit w a bang. I am always pretty careful w/ lipo's. At the same time I've crashed plenty of cars at well over 70mph with lipos in them and never had an issue.

Yeah I am down to play. I just picked up a new KWA SR5 Saturday and am dying to go to Hollywood Sports Paintball/Airsoft park to try it out if you have ever been there.
