Something I had to share with the S2K crowd...
I just got done reading the latest issue of Game Informer magazine.
"What's that got to do with S2000's?" You may ask...
Well on page 36, on the last page of the coverage they gave for Gran Turismo 4, they mention Kazunori Yamauchi's (President of Polyphony Digital) cars.
"The highlight of course, is Kazunori's beautiful Porsche GT3. Sadly (for us saps who don't drive Porsches), that's not the fastest of the six cars he owns. He recently had a Honda S2000 juiced up with a carbon fiber body and just about every racing modification you can think of. When we asked if it was fast, Kazunori just laughed."
Can it be? His S is faster than his GT3?
Either way, for the maker of Gran Turismo:
On a side note, you guys should see the screenshots of the new game. They did side-by-side comparisons of some screenshots against the actual tracks, and some of the screenshots looked more real!
I can't wait.

Whether that's late 2003, or early 2004 is debatable, though I doubt that they'll miss the Christmas season...
Actually seeing how this is what I do for a living it is scheduled for 1/7/03 but I anticipate this to be pushed back unfortunately to early spring. It will retail for $39.99 all new Sony 1st party titles retail for that price now just check out Atv2, Socom without the headset, Getaway etc. Game will feature nearly 500 cars a lot more domestics now (weep weep) photo realistic graphics and hopefully full online play but they are still working that out. But you can definitely link up to 8 PS2's and battle. Also the idea of being able to customize your exterior such as adding different hoods, mirrors, spoilers, side skirts, bumpers, and paint schemes is also being tossed around by the development team. Any other questions about this must have title let me know I will answer to the best of my knowledge this game is being kept very hush hush Area-51 style right now.
GT3 is slower than GT2 (From car and driver TV show), and if its a race s2000, its probably stripped and basically not a street car or street legal in american terms (or so i assume).
He's in japan and rich off his butt, he'll be able to afford the most radical stuff there. =) I'm not surprised.
