Sony/BB home theater package - good deal?

I've been looking for an hdtv and a blue ray player, and saw this today. Its up to $1100 off on a tv when you buy the package, and I'd be looking at the V series 55" and PS3 for $1700. Good deal?

Damn Sony is really trying to push those consoles!!
I think its a good deal as the PS3 is 300 bucks itself, plus a game and a bluray you're up to 400+ already.
Wish you could choose a game other than Ratchet and Clank though. Uncharted 2 is supposed to be one of the best games out for PS3 so far.

You can get this TV

At the Sony Store factory outlets for $779. Brand new in box, not open box, not refurbished. They even throw in a 1 to 5 HDMI converter.
I would have bought two, but couldn't fit them into the car. I'm mounting mine in the bedroom so it will look super sleek and thin.
The bummer is that it doesn't have a tuner, but if you have a cable box and hook the TV to your Blu-ray player it doesn't matter.
Also supposedly the picture quality isn't stellar because it's edge lit to make it so thin. If I paid 3000 for it, I'd be pissed, but as I only paid $779, I don't really care. Personally it looks fine to me, if you are a TV guru it might be different. I also have a Pioneer 6010FD Plasma in the living room to compare it to, and supposedly that's got amazing picture quality. Honestly not much difference to my untrained eyes.
