Does anybody own a Sony Cybershot? I bought the DSC-S70 from Best Buy a couple of weeks ago (it was on sale) and never got around to opening it till today. Well of course after I opened it I find out that it is not compatible with Windows 2000. Damn, I asked the "sales specialist" before purchasing and he said "I don't see any problems with it". So when I go back to complain of course 1. he doesn't remember saying that and 2. since it's opened I have to pay a 20% restocking fee (kiss my ass). So my question is does anybody know if buying the Floppy Disk Adaptor or the PC Parallel Port Adaptor allow me to pull the info off the memory stick? Please don't tell me to reload my computer to Win95 or Win98 that's just not an option.

I've got the 505V, the USB Memory Stick reader, and a Mac- sorry! I just pop the memory stick in the reader and it comes up on the desktop as a 64Mb volume (must buy 2 64Mb sticks - brilliant)

I can't believe they aren't working on newer drivers, but in the meantime you can get the floppy adaptor will work (I'm assuming here that it doesn't require any drivers and just sees it as a real big floppy.

Try it in the store and let me know the results.

Any way you should be very happy with the camera.

I have the F505 & SR7K computer w/ Windows 2000 pro. The computer has a memory stick slot (not trying to rub it in). I have had a hard time finding things like even a printer that is compatable. I think Microsoft is a little ahead of their self. Sorry to hear about your situation. It sucks trying to have the best stuff.

Yeah, I couldn't believe they don't have new drivers either. I called up the 800-support number Sony provides and they claim they are working on it. But no release date was given and they couldn't tell me if the floppy adaptor would work because it only specifies Win95, Win98 and Win NT. I assume it would read as a big floppy as well but for another $80 bucks to have something opened and unreturnable I am starting to get ticked. Thanks for your help guys I guess I just have to bite the bullet and give it a try. Otherwise I have a $700 camera and no way to pull of any data.
