I just saw it yesterday and I would give it a grade C. Seems boring because there a lot of talking.... and plus since the world of speed racer is so futuristic that 99.99% everything in there is all CGI. So they zoom in more on the face. So yea... C because I was bore and almost fell as sleep.

it wasnt bad, it wasnt anything spectacular, but not bad.. i think a lot of the dialogue was needed to explain everything.. i would suspect a speed racer 2 movie would be more intense as they wouldnt have to explain the history etc.

later parts of the movie reminded me more of the past speed racer and i agree with Tormac this movie was not made for people who remembered speed racer but for the new generation

anyone know where to see the old cartoons online?

i loved it! It was everything i wanted...
those of you that said it was lame, well... ya! Its Speed Racer! the title alone is laughable. the whole premise is terrible- it's all one fat turd sandwich- which makes it frigging awesome!!!
i've never seen a flick with that much color- seriously, just go with low expectations and expect to be blown away.
