Schatten, don't forget that they would have to take a four-door, front-engine, front-wheel drive, dohc fuel-injected V-6 unibody car and turn it into a two-door, front engine, rear-wheel drive, pushrod carbureted V-8 tube frame car. After doing all that, they would still have the audacity to call it a "stock car". NASCAR ceased to be true stock car racing a long time ago.

True stock car racing can already be found on Speedvision in the form of the FIA World Rally Championship. Now those are some awesome cars that also have to be street legal to race. Great fun to watch, too.

The only reason I have digital cable and pay $14 a month more than regular analog is for speedvision. If it became the hillbilly network, I would drop it faster than a 2 tire pitstop.

that's like, 15 seconds in NASCAR terminology, right? <grins>

(Rather than a 6 second full on, full team, fill up and tire change in F1)

Oh God NO - The ONLY reason I pay for the extra channels (and for that matter the reason I got cable in the first place) is for Speed vision. Can we start some sort of Email 'flood' to the respective parties?
This SUCKS.
