Default Spelling question.....

Can anyone tell me whether the American spelling for a "mould" (as in - a hollow container into which is a liquid is poured to set in a desired shape) is MOULD or MOLD??

(please note that this is a serious question and not a joke !)

Thanks

(from Cambridge International Dictionary of English)

mould British and Australian, American usually mold (SHAPE)
noun: a hollow container with a particular shape into which soft or liquid substances are poured, so that when the substance hardens it takes the shape of the container
