Default Spiders do get high

From a friend at RX8club. These people tested the results of spiders' activity on common known drugs. Might be interesting to you.

OK, sorry to hijack this thread, but WTF does giving psycotropic drugs to spiders have to do with aeronautics or space? This is the kind of bullshit NASA wastes our money on, and the reason I quit there as a Civil Servant after just a few years.

Funny article, though.

Voipa, you are just jealous of the spiders!

THat is nothing new. What's interesting to me is how the caffiene web is so freaked out.

My friend used to blow his pot smoke exhale onto this one spider that lived in his garage. He said it would do freaky things.

my friend blew smoke into his chameleon aquarium, the thing was sitting on a branch, it coughed like 4 times and fell right over and broke its leg, we had to rush it to the hospital. The thing was eating vitamin coated crickets for weeks.

Research is not always done with a specific goal in mind. Sometimes understanding the world a little better is reason enough.

Believe me, I understand more than a lot of people that research is very important. But, NASA isn't the proper govt agency to be doing this kind of work. WTF do spider's reaction to psycotropic drugs have to do with aeronatics and/or space? NASA is not a catch-all agency for science within the federal government.

Again, I apologize. Having seen the waste and abuse within just the one govt agency, I still get ticked off just thinking about it.
