Off-topic TalkWhere overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.
I was taking my parents to Burbank Airport , and guess what I see on the freeway right in front of me, a beautifull Black F1 Mclaren . I sped up change lanes to get a closer view from the side and to my suprise the driver ended up being Jay Lenow ! We exchanged waves and he slowly starts accelerating than dissapears in traffic . I wish I had a camera with me , could've taken pictures !
I saw one of these at WSIR once. The owner had just taken delivery (after 3 year wait) and had it trailered up to WSIR for it's first drive. So beautiful. It was a metallic orangish color...was beautiful in the desert sunset. wow. there are some pics of it somewhere on the board...a bunch of us were over at SOW at the time and flocked over to see the shiny new supercar.
Saw one in San Angelo, TX just two months back. I have no idea what the hell this guy was doing in San Angelo, especially pulling out of a Wendy's. It was a Sunday morning, no one was around, and I was in front of my complex working on my new Matrix when I heard a definitely different sounding engine. I look up from my hood and I see this silver Mclaren pull out of the Wendy's parking lot right in front of me. All I could do is stare as it pulled on to our side street than onto the main road. Did not recognize the drive at all but must not been from anywhere around here. Man did that thing sound nice. But again why drive it to San Angelo.
I'm going to go out and a limb and hypothesize that it had something to do with Goodyear...
I was thinking that but every time I have passed by their facility never once have I seen any exotic type sports car in the area. Never saw one on the roads of San Angelo for that matter either. You would think in the 1.5 years of living here something would have shown up. Also, behind the driver was a female passenger and both looked to be in street clothes.
