"Many that live deserve death. And some die that deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety. Even the wise cannot see all ends." -Tolkien
Terrible that these things happen. Getting stuff taken from your car is having your personal space and property violated. Having your home invaded by someone is much worse than that. It is not just property at this point, it is your life, personal space, and emotions your are having invaded but this uninvited guest with bad intentions. I could not watch the video. I already know the atrocities human beings are capable of committing to harm other people for whatever the driving force may be (disease, hunger, poverty, etc). I grew up in NY and know that people like to take what doesn't belong to them just cause. When it comes to this man with 12 FELONIES, I'd actually investigate the people in charge of his previous cases (Investigators, Lawyers, etc). I'd like to figure out how he was able to be released with this many convictions. Yes, the crime was terrible, but why wasn't this man locked lock up to begin with for a longer period of time for repeat felony offenses. In California, it's like baseball. 3 strikes and you're out.
For me, hard labor till death. Sorry, but I love my home, my life and work extremely hard to make my space not a house, but a home. It would be hard to convince me he is a 'Product of his environment', because many grow up in bad situations and turn out to be successful people who give back to their communities.
