Default squirrell prob need help (pic)

I enjoy having my morning coffee staring out on to my deck and into the woods watching the birds on my birdfeeder........... but this freakin' squirrell manages to hang himself over my deck which is elevated about 20 feet from the ground and scares away the birds along with damaging my bird feeder.... what do I do? no I will not harm him so please don't suggest such a thing.

Trap him and relocate him. It's quite simply done and humane.

Teach Mr. Pockets how to walk the walk... on that railing!

And then there's:

Squirrels are extremely smart and tenacious when it comes to gaining access to stores of food. I saw a program (Discovery Channel, maybe?) where they kept putting different obstacles between squirrels and food. Eventually they ended up with a "gauntlet" that resembled scenes from Mission Impossible (including mechanical switches). The squirrel took a few hours to figure it out, but once it figured it out the obstacle course barely slowed the squirrel down.

You could move it, but it's not likely that's the only one around.

Save yourself the frustration and buy extra bird seed.

You could purchase a model owl from Home Depot. But i'm not such if it works for squirels.

Charlie, I'm sorry but the critter seems to have Mr. Pockets eyes. I think based on this you're screwed.

The only idea I might have would be to raise the feeder and mount one of those metal squirrell proofing cones under it.
