...oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention.

No one, I repeat, no one would have given a rats ass about Titanic if it didn't star Leonardo DiCaprio.

But when Star Wars came out, who the hell was Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher?

Speaking of which, who in here saw "Corvette Summer", please raise your hand. He should have used "the force" to get his Vette back.

Compare the gross of each movie. There must be more teenage girls in the world than are there sci-fi fans.

I have four walls in my office, none of which can be seen (except behind the door)do to my Star Wars collection not to mention the 6or7 boxes of SW stuff in the attic. I love those movies!!!!! Infact I was told by my own wife that I need to seek help about my addiction... I think shes right....

Great trend!!!!!

Well, i don't know. It depends on why you didn't like the theatrical release of the Abyss. If you thought the ending didn't make much sense, then I'd highly advise you to see the director's cut/special edition, because the FOCUS of the story is shifted entirely. Hard to imagine being that only about 15 minutes of extra footage is added, but they are very critical to the story Cameron was trying to tell. I can't believe they made him leave it on the cutting room floor.

However, if you thought the movie was just too sappy and emotional, then I wouldn't recommend you seeing the entire movie. Maybe just borrow a freinds DVD and watch the added scenes or something. I liked the original film, and the Director's Cut made it into a great film for me. So I don't know how it will be for you.

I hated it all the same, maybe even more so. I don't give young actors any credit, they don't know anything about anything. Except Anakin of course. And Luke. Not to mention Padme! Star Wars can do no wrong in my book.
