Never shoplifted. Never stole.

When I was younger (college/high school) I did accept more than a few discount or free meals and drinks from buddies/girlfriends/fraternity brothers working in bars and/or restaurants. I guess I get out of feeling guilty about that by calling it shrinkage instead of stealing.

I have never ever shoplifted or even stole money from my parents purse / wallet.

I steal the occasional thing from work (odd bits of steel etc...just scraps really for minor projects) but the pay is crap so I consider it a perk.

I should mention, since we are being do honest, while I don't steal anymore, I'm not adverse to buying certain items after the "fell" of the truck

I have never done anything like this but I my best friend went through something that is quite a lesson for him and everyone around him including me.

My best friend get caught when he was trying to shoplift cigarettes. The staff has called the parents and been told to hand him to the police. His dad is a very wealthy and well known man so it would not be any hassle to get him out of there with a simple phone call. What happened instead was his dad not only called the police but told them to keep him there for 2 days with SPECIAL TREATMENT. The incident was closed with the shop and they did not press any charges.

He only tried to steal the cigarettes bacause he thought it would be cool to go to the extreme. What I read on this thread kinda reminded me this incident since I guess some of you guys did it for the same reasons as well.

His father acted as nothing happened after the incident and we learned 2 years later what exactly happened that day. It was one hell of a lesson specially for him but also for us.

Well in kindergarten I stole a jawa and got caught

My own father stole about 50k in credit from me...He opened up 4 credit cards in my name charged them to the limit and stopped paying them...When I confronted him about...he started paying them off...of course I now have a credit report filled with 180+ day delenquencies, the only way to get rid of them is to go to the police. I always watch OZ on HBO and after seeing that I just couldn't send him to jail

He also owes the state of NJ 6,000,000 dollars in back taxes. The IRS another couple hundred thosand and yet he still drives a Lexus.

Damn now I am mad!!!!!
