I always pronounced "StooK" (note this forum was the first place i heard this term) like stuke only because i interpret the "too" being stressed for the two thousand. Like S"2"K except you spell out the two. Otherwise the Stook pronounced like Hook makes no sense, it's just as arbitrary as any other word.

We pronounce it like it has 2 o's in it and no u's.

I'm afraid you left out the third and only alternative i would select: "No way would i call my car [a] stook"

"S-2-K" i might consider, "S-two-thousand" is what i normally use.
