Default Stop smoking cigarettes

I've come to realize that I'm at a point where I can't stop smoking. I used to be able to do it, for a month at a time, just bec I felt like I had to prove it to myself. Nower days I've found I can only do a few days and then I give in. I am addicted.

Its been 8 years I've been smoking on and off now. And I'm starting to feel it a lot more than when I was younger. Maybe 1/3 of a pack a day type of guy, unless I drink then it gets out of control.

Anyone tell me how they stopped? I know some have strong will power, but I just love to have a smoke. I'd love to hear from those who did it.

find out you have cancer.
Worked for my grandmother...she was too late though.

On topic...a friend of mine who has been a long time smoker tried this new prescription that helped her stop. She'd been habitual for over 20 years and has been smoke free for over 6 months since taking it. I'd have to ask her what it's called. It's a newer "wonder drug" or something.

Pfizer, the manufacturer of Chantix, recently submitted data to the FDA that describe cases of suicidal thoughts, and aggressive and erratic behavior in individuals taking Chantix for smoking cessation. I thought I also heard something about another bad side effect.. but I couldn't find anything on the google.

If you only stopped smoking for a month, all you did was take a long break between cigarettes, you never quit. You can never quit quitting smoking. I quit smoking when the price of cigarettes jumped from 35 cents a pack to an outrageous 50 cents a pack.

Not hanging out with smokers also helps.
