Stupid Cats!
Alright, I've just about had it with a couple of outdoors cats in my neighborhood. Every morning I walk out to my car to find cat prints all over the hood and sometimes large dirt spots on my top. I'm guessing that they like to make a bed out of my top. I don't have a garage and it's not worth moving. I even have a car cover, but sometimes it's too dark to open the combo lock to get to it. Is there some type of cat repellent out there? I don't necessarily want to kill the cats, they haven't scratched the car or anything, I just want them to find a different home.
I've been plagued by cats too
Bastards are pretty smart .... I've tried everything (aspirin, anti-freeze, pellet guns, etc). No avail.
The only thing I have heard is using a cat trap and taking the bastards to the pound ...

If they belong to one of your neighbors, they should be approached about controlling their pets. If they are strays, calling the animal control people may get rid of them, but may well be a death sentence.
This is just a thought...because I honestly have *no idea* just how "sticky" it'd be...
This morning on the radio I heard an animal behaviorist/psychologist(?) on a talk show discussing issues folks have with indoor animals during the holidays. One issue was cats jumping up on the table to eat food, etc. (even a daily issue -- not just relegated to the holidays). Her suggestion was to get some double sticky scotch tape & run it around the boarder/top of the table as well as "here-n-there" all over the table top. Cat's paws would come in contact with the sticky tape & they'd be irritated by sticking to the table a bit & decide to find other "digs"... Not a bad idea -- for a table. Now, again, I'm not saying that's what you want to do to your car...but I'd suspect it wouldn't hurt the car's finish and I can see the validity in its ability to repel the animals. Just a thought...

"I cured this same problem with my Mustang ragtop using a scraminal. It's kind of like an alarm, but cats hate the sound! The S2K been cat free!

A while ago, one owner here hooked together a motion sensor, a garden hose, and an electronically controlled valve to give any nearby cats a spray of water. Humane and effective. After a short time, the cats learned not to come by at all.
