In Anaheim, CA, along Santa Ana Canyon Road between Weir Canyon Road and Gypsum Canyon Road are a few signs posted by the City of Anaheim that read, "Illegal Dumping Prohibited". Presumably these are there to disabuse drivers of the idea that illegal dumping might be tolerated - even encouraged.

I just looked through the materials on a class I'm going to be teaching in a couple of weeks. There was a picture of a sign that reads, "Emergency Phone, 174 km Ahead".

Any others?

I have a picture of a sign that I took in a mall in China. It says Be Careful with a guy falling down the escalator head first.

 

There's a sign in my town that says "Uneven Pavement." It really is and it pisses me off everytime I have to go on it. There's no cracks, so there was no earthquake. The workers just decided to not level the ground and put up a sign that says they did a crappy job instead.

A college roommate of mine found a road sign (and shipped it to our house) that said:

Sharp Curves Ahead

 

There's one on the way to or from Atlantic City to the effect of: "Watch out for sleeping drivers" or "Sleeping drivers may cause death."

 

I'll get a picture, but we have a sign in my neighborhood that says: "Caution Blind Child Crossing"

Why is a blind kid crossing the street by himself?
