Default SU-35 airshow footage

Except for the editors overuse of the invert filter....it's a pretty good cut:

Yep -- And anything else in the U.S. inventory.

haven't seen the maneuver of the SU-35 since my computer won't play the .wmv file at work. i assume that is the "cobra" maneuver that the russian mig29 and su27/su35 are famously known. aviation experts on the discovery channel have questioned the usefulness/advantage of the "cobra" maneuver in actual combat. the f22 raptor might not maneuver like that but with its stealth and powerful radars and avionics, it doesn't have to.

yep, the video shows clip after clip of a SU-35 performing the "cobra" complete with wingtip smoke. It's like they saw Top Gun one too many times "I'll hit the speedbrakes and they'll fly right on by".

In a real dogfight it's all about the angles!

Even if the SU-35 is more maneuverable than the F-22, I'm sure much of that advantage will be lost when the SU-35 is actually flying with a combat payload.
Plus, any SU-35 pilot that performs that cobra maneuver may get the jump on one F22, but his friends will get revenge and blow him out of the sky since all of his speed and energy just disappeared.

Not only that, but the Raptors are stealth fighters. So the SU-35s may not even detect the Raptors.
