Default Sunbeam Tiger

I came across a Sunbeam Tiger parked in Malibu this morning. Very pretty. They really got the cars in that era right in terms of size and proportion. Compared to the Tiger, my s2k is bigger in overall size, but smaller in cockpit ergonomics. Plus, the Tiger just looks like it's as big as it needs to be, whereas the s2k is as big as it needs to be if you are an 18 year old Japanese coed.

Don't flame me, please. I love my car. But I miss the 20th century.

They were cool, and the 289 in them made them fly...I had the pleasure of driving one in the mountain roads around Big Sur way back in 1970.

Italians didn't do too badly, either. Think Mangusta, Longchamp, Vallelunga, and of course the Pantera.

Love that "Cleveland Symphony"

I dig Tigers but Sumbeam's Alpine is a more balanced car. The front suspension has some serious work-arounds to shoe that motor in there and the handling suffered. It used to be that the Tiger was one of the most affordable collector cars. Not sure if that is still true.

there are a lot of those in Southern Cal. They go for about 30k if in good condition.
