Thanks everyone...

He will have to have surgery after all. I talked to him today and he seems to be doing better but as expected is a little concerned about having surgery.

He said something about how doctors could not tell the difference between a head and a leg and I did not know if I was going to laugh or cry. My sister is leaving tomorrow and she will be there for the surgery on Monday. My other sister will go there the following week, and then my brother (he is also on this board) then my other sister and then I will head down there. If everything goes well, recovery can take up to 4-5 weeks they said.

I don't get to see my parents but about once or twice per year...but the simple thought just tears me up...

Again, thanks to everyone for the kind words and pm's.

Angel

Angel,

You've got my prayers.

My Mom had a large brain tumor removed when she was 79 years old. She's about to hit 82 and she's doing very well. Hang in there and we'll keep pulling for your Dad.

Angel....just another story to cheer you up....

My mom is 45 years old, and just this past February she had a baby. Now, with her age, there were a lot of concerns, but everything went well after she gave birth until march. She was then diagnosed with colon cancer. She had surgery, and just finished chemo last month. She and little bro are both doing great, and my mom has been working since august part time, and will be going back full time beginning in january. This was a pic taken when he was about 6 months old, and he will be 11 months old on Jan 4th.

Again, good luck, and god bless. Also have a safe trip down there, and back.
