Default tattoo!

After a month of searching, I finally found a Celtic circle that I'm in love with. What do you guys think? I might want to crop the tails a bit shorter. Would a good tattoo artist be able to modify the picture slightly with good results? Any top tattooist in the NY/NJ area that are recommended?

Looks as if it will make a very nice tat......but, you will lose a grip of detail......where are you going to put it??

I suggest you put it on your rear end you're grabbing in your avatar and make that your new avatar. You will be our hero.

The tattoo will take up most of my lower back. It's gonna be pretty big.

yea, it's gonna be a pain. But in my mind it's well worth it. I'v heard of a prescription drug that numbs the skin for a couple hours. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

How big are you going to get it? Mine started out as a 6 inch circle. To keep all of the detail it had to be blown up to a little over 7 inches. Mine has a lot less detail than yours. Remember that skin streches and condenses so that lines won't stay the same distance apart and that is why on paper you can get more detail closer together. He is mine again just for comparison...

BTW - I asked about pain medication and it is OK to take. It doesn't thin your blood like alcohol. Unfortunatley I forgot mine at home and got it done sober. You may also want to consider multiple sessions. I have a high pain threshold and I was mentally drained after 4 hours. The back F*UCKING hurts!

I'm thinking something like 8 or 8 1/2 inches. Would that be large enought to keep all the detail?

Probably. You have some very tight knot work going on in that thing so I think it will be close. I also blew mine up and actually taped it to my back just to be sure.

Oh yeah....in my anxiousness to share my story I forgot to tell you that I really like it.
