What has brouhgt on this tattoo craze ? I dont have
a problem with it, its your body, you can do what ever hell you want. It just seems to me in the last 10 years tattoo's have skyrocketed.
I actually agree with you, over the last 10 years tattoos have become a lot more prevalent and acceptable. I've found that for the most part, the reason people get tattoos is a personal one. The reason I got/am getting mine is also a personal reason, but I don't mind talking about it. I've always enjoyed the Japanese style tattoo artwork (highly stylized and heavy into imagery/fables). I've finally gotten to the point in my life (should have happened a lot earlier maybe) that, with in reason, I'm going to live the way I want and do the things I want because well, what's the point of living your life strictly for other people? Just my two cents....
It says "I'm not going to conform to your shit!"
Which means:
A) Welcome to the world of wearing a lot of long sleeve shirts in your older adult life... or
B)Welcome to McDonalds. Would you like fries with that?
Where the 60s/70s had peace marches and woodstock. They have Chatrooms and Emo music.

I've been in the military for about 14 years now so I conform a lot more that you might think, and I'm pretty sure that's the first time anyone has ever associated me with that emo shit.
not that anyone gives a shit what I think....but....unfort, any time I see a anyone with a pile of tats (some are very bright colors now...big yellow monsters, etc...) i just think what an idiot....
they could be the brightest person i the world, the nicest, etc.... but....
i think there will be great $ in tat removal... they already make some kind of cream that fades them and then the more expensive laser removal...

Mine is a work in progress. Since these pics I've gotten some filled in, but I'm still two or three sessions away from being done. I'll post up again when it's done.
This is the top half of the sleeve, you can see the outline of the dragon on my chest and you can also kinda see the tribal (my first tat) on my upper arm that's going to be covered when it's done.
This is a shot of one of the Koi (two total on my lower arm)
nice...
i've been thinking about getting full sleeve for a while.
where did you get it done?

Yeah, it used to mean you were a rebel, now it just means you follow about ten million other people who try to be "unique". When one guy has one, its unique and non-conformist, now its a passing fad. Like Zubaz.
Do whatever you want, but go look at some old dude or worse some old lady with tats and tell me it does not have "skanky" written all over it.
My friend Stephanie had a palm tree tatted onto her pooch area. After two kids, it does not look like it was intended anymore.
Song lyrics on your foot are not too bad, you can always put on a shoe. But most of us old guys can remember the 80's when we thought some song by Dexies Midnight Runners was bitchin. Now if we had done the same thing somebody would say "Dude, is that 'Come on Eileen" written on your foot?"
