I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo (my first) this summer. I'm having a hell of a time picking a design, and I'm curious to see what others have done.

 

Got mine when I turned 18....no laughing at the clothing or blingin' chain, I was 18 in the pic and thought I was gangsta Still love my tatoo, but got rid of the chain and wife-beater. It's a great way to meet women, if they're interested in you, it's a great ice-breaker for them

 

I have a few tattoos, but no digital camera, unfortunately. I have the following:

left forearm - cluster of skulls
left upper arm - scorpion and a cobra

right forearm - snake wrapped around the arm
right arm - some letters in old english
right upper arm - grim reaper holding a sickle with some bats flying around

left lower leg - dragon holding a yin-yang in its claws

All of mine are black. Are you thinking of getting a color or black one?

 

I was thinking black - nice and simple. I'm not dead-set on just black though, it really depends on what the design dictates.

Those white ink tattoos look pretty cool too - almost like a scar. I can't imagine you could do anything really intricate with it though, since there's really no definition.

 

What does yours mean, RiceBurnerTX?

 

Cool. I'm a big fan of black for most tattoos. Colored ones are cool, too, but I have a personal preference for just black ink. Any leading candidates for a design?

 

Oh, my bad, I guess I shoulda posted that. It means "fierce". As far as color tatoos go, just remember that most color ink fades and that you might need to get it touched up every now and then. Black ink fades some too, but not as much as color.
