ive had that happen the last two years, i always get my taxes done the second i get my w2, which is usually in feb i think, than a few months later ill get a little note from the irs that makes no sense with a small check. i dont know if its gonna happen this year, dont want to get my hopes up.

 

By the way, since I don't see it mentioned here...
You should really be reviewing your returns before they are submitted to the IRS. Then you'll know the exact amount that you should be receiving/sending to the IRS and why. If the amount on your tax forms doesn't match what the IRS sends you, then there is a problem. Somebody definitely screwed up, and you need to find out who and why.
