I get a huge refund every year, my friends think i'm crazy but they are all married and have to file all kind of weird ways. without my deductions i would get back about 1200-1400 on a refund. My deductions push it up over that. So that only works out to like 100 bucks a month, I figure i would just drink that up in one night, so i like the lump sum.

What's a refund? I haven't seen one in years. We need a flat tax in this country. I am tired of getting nailed for having multiple college degrees and working hard to make a lot of money. Just so I can fund somebody's welfare check.

Wife and I file jointly. Our State + Federal tax liabilities this year were MORE than I grossed. I worked for the man all 12 months. This blows.

Your wife must make a heck of a lot of money or else you have some pretty sharp investments!
