TEA
I love tea - there is so much variety. Of the bag brands, Twinnings has a very good selection but I prefer a brand called Yogi. This year, I started getting into loose leaves. You'll need a pot to brew it in but the difference in taste is night and day as compared to bags. I'm almost exclusively into oolongs, love that mellow flavor. I go to a local Asian grocery store, as they have a great selection, not only of oolongs but also of green, white and jasmine teas. Plus the price isn't marked up to the moon. A few tips. When brewing (either bagged or loose leaves), get the water as hot as you can. I use an electric pot to get it boiling. Be careful not to over-steep as this will cause the flavor to be overpowered. Try different sweeteners - honey, sugar and artificial sweeteners all have a different effect on the taste. Finally, don't be afraid to try different types. Everyone associates tea with either the far east or the UK but places like S American and Africa have some great teas.

As far as sweetners go, I am a big fan of stevia. I brew the tea (loose leaf) and then add the stevia leaf in and let it steep for a minute.
Justayoungmc, you are correct. I get mine just starting to boil and by the time I get the pot unplugged and over to the teapot, it's settled down. Blacks and oolong can handle hot hot, greens and whites do better with just hot but none do well with boiling.
