Default Tea drinkers, how to make it taste better?

So for the last month or so, I strictly drink hot tea, and water. Don't get me wrong, green tea's and some tea's are completely stomacheable (don't make me cringe), and some taste downright disgusting. However, I've loved the [immediate] relief they've provided, and the overall better feeling drinking them. But how do you make it taste better without pure sugars, or processed stuff? I'm trying to stay as natural/sugar free as possible.

Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

Milk and honey maybe? Used to drink earl grey or something like that. I used sugar and milk though instead of honey usually. Of course I wouldn't think milk would taste good in more herbal types of teas.

i put about a tablespoon of half&half and a dash of honey in an average sized cup, tastes quite nice. i remember reading somewhere that a small amount of honey a day can be healthy. try it!

One packet of Splenda if you're down for that. I have been drinking this jasmine stuff with a little tea strainer/spoon thingy. With one packet of Splenda it mixes it up a bit after drinking it "straight" for a while.

Otherwise, seek some blends with a bit more flavor; something with cardamom is usually tasty enough by itself.

honey or agave nectar, you could try white clover honey. I usually don't add anything to my tea. Drink jasmine or green don't really care for the rest of the flavors. Love the smell of jasmine tea.

So are you a changing your eating habits to avoid refined and sugar? or is that just your tea?

I'll definitely try the different honey options, that totally skipped my mind. I drink a variety of different teas aimed to do different things; for example one thats a blend to open up your airways (which works AMAZINGLY) has a black licorice flavor. Black licorice is like nails on a chalkboard to my tongue; but the effect works so well that I just try and stomache it.

As far as my eating habits; I've never been big on candies and sugary things. I haven't even had a birthday cake for my birthday since I was 6 . Most sugars that I intook came from soda's and fruit juices; neither of which is good for you. Thus the change to tea (I do have a soda like once or twice a month; I love vanilla coke it's a weakness). I might even try vanilla extract. I wonder how that would work out? As far as eating goes, I try to eat as healthy as I can within reason.

Btw thanks for inadvertently kicking some ideas into my head; has anyone tried [vanilla] Almond Milk?

Keep the ideas coming guys, I appreciate it

I'm not a fan of sweet... anything really... so I pretty much never sweeten my tea. Honestly, if you're not enjoying the flavor of your tea my first recommendation would be to buy different tea.

Other than that, though - Milk, as others have suggested. Milk + tea =

For artificial sweetener, check out Truvia. I don't normally like stevia or Splenda (and scared of aspartame) but this mixture works for me in coffee and oatmeal.
