ok so I got it downloaded but its just one big .mp3 file.. this must be where that .cue file comes into play. There is a .cue file in the folder but I'm not really seeing what it does. Time to do some more research

 

yeah... I need to figure that out too... I went ahead and burned it though... as one... BIG... song! (it's trance though... you don't need to skip to specific songs )

 

update* I've been doing some research and since im on a Mac I have had major problems finding a .cue splitter

versiontracker.com had one for my mac but download.com had a lot for pc's but not macs.

I have downloaded 3 complete mixes so far and holy.. I'm working on more resource info. I basically did a search through the trance forums from links where we downloaded the mixes and networked myself from there figuring all this out. If you got a PC you should be in good shape with getting the cue files extracted but if your on a MAC, you better be running OSX.3 if you expect to find anything.

i'll give those guys credit for picking awesome songs, but some of their mixes aren't too great. for example, on one mix i heard a particular song slowed down so much so that the BPMs would match up. but this took away from the song because it almost sounded like a ballad.

 

Can't win them all... The only complaint I have is that the .cue files leave the last song off from being ripped... Unless my cue extractor is just weird.
