Yahweh! It must have been a very high molarity of the sulphuric acid. They'll catch the guy he'll be sentenced harshly - or too leniently depending on whom you ask. What a horrific scene it must have been.

I work in an industrial facility. Actually it is a Department of Energy site that is part of the national Nuclear complex. (Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC). We have about 34 million gallons of HIGHLY radioactive, highly toxic, and HIGHLY corrosive nuclear waste left over as a result of chemical separations necessary to extract U-238 and Pu-238. That material is stored in 49 underground tanks ranging in size from 600,000 gallons to 1.2 million gallons.

2kturkey, if we were to toss you into one of those tanks you might last 15 seconds.

For anyone who has travelled in China, or Vietnam or any of the similar Asian countries, these sorts of stories are far from surprising ......

yeah, my brother was there earlier in the year and he said that the tv news always had news stories of a bus crashing or people dying on roads- same story just different names, thats why they have a road toll of almost a million a year, a really fast growing economy that wants to get somewhere.
also, the taxi drivers r the craziest, little training and virtually no knowledge of raod rules, they drive as fast as possible so then they can get to the next fare. my old man was paying the taxi driver to slow down, crazy pricks

Wow....that is sad. I've had acid on me before. It hurts...I could only imagine their pain.
