Very interesting indeed. I wonder if the wild dolphins exhibit the same behavior? Or is this their way of countering the boredom of being captive (however, "entertaining" their human captors are to them)?

That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time! I know wild dolphins will circle a school of fish and blow a wall of bubbles to keep the school tight to make it easier to feed. Maybe the captive dolphins are bored. They are the second smartest animal on earth. You know, behind mice and ahead of humans.

Pretty awesome, it was incredible to watch them play with the bubbles they had blown. I'm surprised that the bubbles have the integrity that they do, i figured they would float rapidly up but they seem to spin tightly and stay level with the dolphins? I was out at sea fishing over the Fourth of July weekend (Mexican coast offshore) and it's great fun to find a pod of porpoise, they will swim right to the boat and surf the pressure wake that the boat pushes ahead of it while trolling. I've seen pods that were easily hundreds of individuals; they looked to be having a grand time.

Not that I'm bragging but I can actually make a bubble out of my own saliva using my tongue...and blow it up in the air...wait till it come down again...repeat.

It's easier right after I brush my tooth. Pretty awesome, huh?

Saw that in the movie "The Cove" (the one Japan likes to refuse to allow showings of) but they play with the ring much faster. Neat footage. Excellent movie.
