One of the articles I read said the kids were laughing it up in jail, upset because they weren't going to make it to the beach this weekend.
That is truly horrible if the kids were put in jail and all they worried about was missing the beach and cheerleading. At their age I would have been worried about what my dad was going to do to me when I got home.

Thank you. I would be like, "Let me stay in holding for one more night".

I'm still confused as to the German connection, well, aside from the fact that weird shit either happens in Germany or Florida.

Another moral failing of society.

If these girls dont get tried and punished as adults, you can pretty much throw out any hope for reason and justice in today's system.

They should have many charges placed against them! I really hated to hear the girl being beatup had slight hearing loss and a extremely bruised eye!

Unbelievable! I would definitely be in jail if that was my daughter getting beat up. The few reasons why I would hit a girl.

I read an article of an interview with the mom of one of the suspects and I could not believe what she said. She was basically justifying her daughters' actions because this girl(the one getting beat) supposedly said nasty things about them on myspace. If all parents encouraged their kids to get into a fight because of words, the place we live in would even be worst than it is. What kind of parenting is that.

There's your trip to the (state) hospital.

I still remeber the saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but Words will never her me"

I can tell you that if it were my daughter that got beaten up like that, I would be in jail right now for beating every one of those kids to within an inch of their life.

Damn, guess I won't be making it to the beach this weekend
I hate to say this...but I agree with you completely.
