Don't worry, you did get your point across to many people who never knew about that kind of tip-stealing. A friend was telling me that it's usually because restaurants of that nature or mostly family owned and they just don't make an exception for the employees that aren't family. Plus, us white people also need to learn that 15% tip is not the custom. It's more like 1 to 2 dollars max. Thanks for the heads up though! Deep breath.
